MUSICAL THEATRE KIDS at the Staten Island Zoo
Be a Part of the Show!
12-week course builds self-confidence in children
Students perform Disney's "Jungle Book Kids" at final class in May.
Sundog Theatre is offering musical theatre classes designed to build confidence and creativity in young people. Musical Theatre Kids is an entertaining way to learn presentation skills, work with other children, and understand how to present a final show.
This program is perfect for children who are timid or have a hard time speaking in public. The classes are held in the Zoo Auditorium and include vocal and movement exercises. Young people ages 9 to 14 of all skill levels are welcome.
Students will focus on imagination and theater games as well as rehearse for a final performance.
Each week a different skill will be introduced to participants. During the 12-week course students will have an opportunity to develop theatre skills as they rehearse for Jungle Book-Kids, enabling them to put theory into practice.
