SPARKS Across America:
SPARKS is a National Science Foundation (NSF) initiative that allows living institutions to help connect parents to their children's science education. By attending this free zoo event, you will learn fun hands-on activities that you can do with your children at home; learn how to use the zoo as a resource to teach your children about science; and receive free take home materials that will help connect you and your children to science education.
The SPARKS workshop is two full days (10:00am-4:00pm): Sunday, April 6th and Sunday, April 13th. Any parent who attends both days will receive a $50 stipend from NSF.
Pre-registration is required. For further information, or to register, please contact Dave Johnston, Assistant Director of Education at 718-442-3174 ext. 37
